PURPOSE: To obtain a reactive dye with improved fixing yield which is suitable for dyeing and printing of various kinds of materials, especially cotton, by condensing a specified dye and trihalogenotriazines.
CONSTITUTION: This reactive dye is expressed by formula I in a free acid state. The dye of formula I is obtd. by condensing a dye expressed by formula II and n moles of trihalogenotriazines expressed by formula III to produce a compd. expressed by formula IV, and then condensing the compd. of formula IV with n moles of a component expressed by formula V. In the formulae, D is anthraquinone, phthalocyanine or the like W is a direct bond or bridge member; R1 is H, CH3 or C2H5; R2 is H, a 1-4C alkyl or the like; i is 0 or 1; j is 0, 1 or 2; r is 2 or 3; X is F, Cl or Br; Z is -CH=CH2, -CH2-CH2-OSO3H or the like; n is 1 or 2.
