PURPOSE: To provide a novel compd. useful for dyeing or printing a material containing a hydroxyl group or an amide group.
CONSTITUTION: A reactive dye is composed of a compd. represented by formula I, especially, formula II [wherein FB is a mono-, polyazo and metal complex azo of a dye or anthraquinone, B and B' are a direct bond or a ring carbon atom of an aromatic carbocycle in FB, X is a group represented by formula III (wherein Z is a heterocyclic fiber reactive group and R and R' are II or 1-6C alkyl] exepting a compd. represented by formula IV. For example, 2,4,6- trifluoro-1,3,5-triazine is added to an aq. soln. of 1-amino-8- hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid and, after the pH of the resulting soln. is adjusted by sodium carbonate, 6-fluoro-5-chloro-4-(3'-amino-4'-sulfophenyl) pyrimidine is added. Thereafter, a hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrite soln. are added to obtain a compd. represented by formula V by diazo coupling.
