Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the handling of the above cleaner and enhance the safety by a method wherein its main component consists of specified amount of 2- amino-2-ethyl-1-propanol, of water and of any one or combination of ethanol, isopropanol and acetone.

CONSTITUTION: The main component of the mold cleaner concerned consists of 5 - 80% of 2-amino-2-ethyl-1-propanol, 0.2 - 40% of water and 0.5 - 95% of any one or combination of ethanol, isopropanol and acetone. After said mold cleaner is sprayed on the heated surface of a mold and left as it is, molding is performed by the predetermined mold holding material with the mold so as to remove contaminant adhered to the surface of the mold. Thus, the reactivity of the mold cleaner can be controlled in accordance with the characteristic of the mold used and of the molding material used. Further, the handling of the cleaner becomes easy and the fear of the breakage of the mold can be eliminated.
