To provide a non-contact IC module and a reader/writer for reducing a load of the reader/writer generated due to authentication of a plurality of non-contact IC cards, when radio communication is established between the reader/writer and the remote non-contact IC cards, and authenticating only the required non-contact IC card.
This non-contact IC module A changes transmission timing to the reader/writer B, based on synchronization correction information included in a radio wave received from the reader/writer B, performs first authentication processing with respect to the reader/writer B when a reception intensity is less than the threshold value, and performs the second authentication processing with respect to the reader/writer B when the reception intensity of the radio wave received from the reader/writer B is the threshold value or more.
