PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint reader in which dielectric breakdown by static electricity is prevented.
SOLUTION: A finger is traced on a transparent substrate while emitting light through the transparent substrate, and reflected light by the recessed parts and projecting parts of fingerprint are read by using a long image sensor.
