In the reader, the inside of the storage case 14 is hermetically sealed by sticking a transparent plate 17 to the storage case 14 side with an adhesive 44 packed between the transparent plate 17 and a mounting surface 40a and simultaneously preventing dust inside the storage case 14 from the outside by sealing a reading window 16 with the adhesive 44 and the transparent plate 17. And, flow-out of an excess adhesive 48 to the reading window 16 is eliminated by storing the excess adhesive 48 to flow out from a place between the transparent plate 17 and the mounting surface 40a to the reading window 16 side in a fist gap part 45 for storing the adhesive and partitioned by an end surface 17b on a sticking side of the transparent plate 17, a peripheral wall 70b and the bottom 70a of a first recessed part 70.
