PURPOSE: To prevent the corrosion of an electrode section, and to improve performance and long-term reliability by forming a weatherproof substrate capable of stopping the permeation of moisture onto an optoelectric transducer array.
CONSTITUTION: A weatherproof substrate 13 is bonded onto an optoelectric transducer array through adhesives 14. Consequently, intrusion of moisture in atmospheric air to the transducer array is obstructed, thus completely obviating exposure to moisture of a light-shielding metallic layer 7 and discrete electrode 9, then preventing corrosion. Glass, ceramics, a metal, etc. are used as the material of the weatherproof substrate, and it is desirable that a light- transmitting substrate 5 is made of glass while a glass plate is employed as the weatherproof substrate 13 particularly, thus attaining cost lower than by other materials.
