Abstract:
To provide a large-capacity card reading apparatus for credit cards.
A card of a credit card size internally having a rotary type magnetic memory is disclosed. The card is embodied as a laminated structure for which a sandwich structure of stainless steel and plastic is adopted. A slot of the plastic layer provides a space for the rotary type magnetic memory. A head of an external system is arranged into the slot on the outside surface of the card, by which data is written to a disk or the data is read from the disk. A shutter covers the slot while the card is not engaged with the reading apparatus.
