Abstract:

To provide a reagent for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and a method.

This invention relates to a treatment method using an anti-CD22 monoclonal antibody having specific physiological characteristics. Especially, this invention relates to a method of treating B cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases by the administration of blocking anti-CD22 monoclonal antibody which is bound specifically to the first two Ig-like domains or an epitope in the first two Ig-like domains of an effective amount of native human CD22 (hCD22).
