PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a maintenance inspection work by simplifying the structure of a rear bearing installed inside an exhaust casing, and also to improve reliability against an oil leakage by preventing a leaked oil from a bearing stand from being discharged into a steam passage side of the exhaust casing.
SOLUTION: The subject device is so composed that a bearing stand cover 13 is covered on the upper face of the bearing stand 12 of a rear bearing 8 installed inside an exhaust casing of a turbine wheel chamber, and an air groove 18 is formed along the face of a flange, namely, a horizontal joint flange 12a of a bearing stand 12 placed upon a horizontal joint flange 13a of the bearing stand cover 13, and also a gasket 19 is installed on both inner and outer peripheries of the air groove 18 across it. In addition, a conduit 21, which is pulled outside penetrating downwardly the bearing stand 12 and the exhaust casing and is used simultaneously as a discharging passage of a leaked oil, is installed, jointed with the air groove 18, between the air groove 18 and its atmospheric side. A leaked oil generated at the flange in an emergency is discharged outside from the air groove 18 through the conduit, to thereby prevent an oil leakage into the discharge casing.
