To provide a rear face negative pressure floating type dryer in which a drying time can be reduced under a combination of an infrared radiation dryer and a hot blast dryer and which can be realized under cost and running cost that are similar to those of the hot blast dryer.

There is provided a rear face negative pressure floating type dryer in which a web coated with a coating film is dried while being floated and transferred. The dryer comprises infrared radiation plates A installed among a plurality of hot blast injection nozzles for injecting hot air from downside of the web to float the web, and infrared ray radiation plates B installed above the web to cover a flowing direction wider than a width in which the coating film is coated and in parallel with the web.
