To improve the rigidity, and to facilitate the assembly work.
In this rear floor structure of an automobile to support a lower surface of a rear floor panel by a pair of right and left frames, a floor cross member is joined with a forward surface of an inclined part between inclined surface parts formed on the frame 5 so that both end parts are lapped on each other, the rear floor panel 4 is joined with the floor cross member, and a structure of closed section is formed between the rear floor panel 4 and the floor cross member.
