Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase supporting rigidity of the connecting part of the front end part of a trailing arm so as to improve stable controllability by embossing a bead part in the vertical direction on a protector facing to the outside, and combining a stay extending over the bead part and the bottom part of a side sill adjacent to the outside of a rear side member.
SOLUTION: The load of a vehicle body is applied to a protector 21 in the vertical direction, but the section modulus of the protector 21 is enlarged so as to enlarge resistance against the load in the vertical direction, by embossing a bead part 22 in the vertical direction on the nearly center part of the protector 21 so as to form into an almost hat shaped section. In addition, because a box-shaped stay 23 is combined extending over the bead part 22 and the bottom part of a sill inner 4a, a load at lifting up can be dispersedly borne on a side sill 4 to be a strength skelton member of a vehicle body. Hereby, buckling deformation of not only the protector 21 but the external wall 8b of a bracket 8 joined with the protector 21 can be surely prevented.
