Abstract:

PURPOSE:To perform a toe angle change easily and correctly and prevent an inadvertent toe angle change by expanding or shrinking two interlocked liquid pressure cylinder devices to change the toe angle of inner and outer wheels when the suspension arm angle is changed during a turn. CONSTITUTION:When a side force F is applied to a rear wheel 7 of a vehicle, for example, the counterclockwise moment M is generated on a suspension arm 2, and both front end sections 3, 3 bend both bushes 9, 9 and are displaced to the right along both shafts 13, 13. Then, the piston 10b of the first hydraulic cylinder device 10 connected to one front end section 3 is moved to the right to shrink the second hydraulic cylinder device 11. As a result, an arm 8 is rotated clockwise centering a shaft 5, thus an axle 6 is angle-displaced forward, and the toe angle of the rear wheel 7 is changed in the toe-in direction. Accordingly, the stroke ratio between both hydraulic cylinder devices 10, 11 is adequately set, and the toe angle of the rear wheel 7 is changed in the toe-in direction.
