Abstract:
To inexpensively achieve an environment that can offer an electronic receipt service.SOLUTION: A receipt printer according to an embodiment comprises: a print device; acquisition means; print means; first control means; creation means; and second control means. The print device is configured to print an image on a receipt sheet. The acquisition means is configured to acquire print data including text data representing a letter string to be represented on a receipt. The first control means is configured to control the print device so as to print the image of the receipt on a receipt sheet on the basis of the acquired print data. The creation means is configured to create text receipt data including predetermined text data of the acquired text data on the basis of the acquired text data. The print means is configured to print an image of the receipt on a receipt sheet on the basis of the print data acquired by the acquisition means. The second control means is configured to control the print device so as to print an image of a code symbol representing the created text receipt data in an optically readable manner on the receipt sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
