Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and a broadcasting system capable of appropriately adjusting the brightness of an image according to a program when an image having a wide brightness range exceeding the capability of a display section is received.SOLUTION: A service information processing unit acquires the luminance information on a first luminance range which is a luminance range of an image of content on the basis of service information of the content. A luminance adjustment unit adjusts the luminance of the image within a second luminance range on the basis of a result of comparison between a second luminance range in which the display section is capable of displaying an image and the first luminance range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
