Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver of an optical network with a transmission speed recognition circuit which recognizes automatically a data transmission speed of an input signal and adjusts automatically a frequency of a voltage control oscillator with the receiver.
SOLUTION: This receiver has a data transmission recognition and frequency adjustment circuit which recognizes a data transmission speed of an input signal and adjusts automatically a VCO frequency in the receiver according to the data transmission speed of the input signal. The data transmission recognition and frequency adjustment circuit recognizes the data transmission speed of the input signal by converting the input signal into a DC voltage value varied with respect to the data transmission speed of the input signal.
