PURPOSE: To prevent double storage of a reception frequency by detecting whether or not a receivable broadcast wave frequency is stored in another memory group at the time of an automatic preset operation.
CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 10 performs the processings of the output of the control signals of reception frequency signals or the like to an intermediate frequency amplifier 4, the input of tuning signals or the like from the amplifier 4 and signal input from a switch group 9. A memory 11 is provided with a first memory group 12 provided with set memories M11-M13 for storing the reception frequency and the second memory group 13 of preset memories M21-M23. When an automatic preset key M of the group 9 is operated, the reception frequency is swept over the entire reception frequency band. Then, since whether or not the reception frequency of receivable broadcast waves is stored in the other memory group is detected and the storage is prohibited when it is store, the double storage is prevented and thus, the memory is effectively utilized.
