Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an IF filter of the receiver and to improve a phase noise characteristic of a synthesizer.
SOLUTION: This receiver is provided with a frequency conversion means 2 that coverts a received high frequency signal into an intermediate frequency signal, a first filter means 4 connecting with an output terminal of the means 2, an orthogonal demodulation means 6 connecting with an output terminal of the means 2, a second liter means 7 connecting with an output terminal of the means 6, and an A/D converter means 8 connecting with an output terminal of the means 7. The receiver conducts communication through the use of signals with plural bands. The first filter means 4 has a band-pass filter 40 that passes a band width equivalent to at least a sum of signals with the widest band width and signals with the narrowest band width among plural hand signals received via the frequency conversion means 2. Characteristics of base- band filters of the second filter means 7 are made variable.
