To hold the stable operation of a squelch circuit with high precision against the change of a temperature in a receiver by providing a receiving circuit, squelch circuit, and microcomputer or the like, and correcting the fluctuation of squelch due to the change in the ambient temperature by the microcomputer.
A signal received by an antenna 1 is demodulated by a receiving circuit 2, and a squelch signal is inputted to a microcomputer 3. The microcomputer 3 controls a squelch circuit 4 based on the squelch signal for controlling the input of a voice signal demodulated by the receiving circuit 2 to an audio amplifier 6, and the voice signal amplified by the audio amplifier 6 is outputted from a speaker 7. On the other hand, a temperature sensitive resistance 5 with high precision detects temperature change, and changes it to a voltage signal, and the microcomputer 3 controls the on/off of the squelch against the temperature change by referring to data corresponding to a preliminarily programmed temperature based on this voltage. Thus, the control precision of the squelch circuit against the temperature can be increased.
