To provide a receiving device which can lift and move other objects, especially a sample tube bucket without need for especially fitting a gripper by using the gripper adapted to directly grip a sample tube.

A work station has a conveying device equipped with a gripper adapted to grip a sample tube with a gripper clamp and move it to a sample tube bucket from a sample tube rack for the purpose of, for example, the centrifugal separation thereof. The conveying device is provided with a receiving device 23, which is gripped by the gripper on a cylindrical upper handle part 25 and can be removed from the inside of the holder 24 where the device is disposed at a prescribed position. An intermediate part 33 having four hooks 37 which are arranged at apexes of a rectangle to be retainable at an eye in the sample tube bucket is disposed at a lower end of the device. After the use thereof, the receiving device 23 is returned to the holder 24.
