To provide a receiving device, a recording method, and a program to control a recording time.SOLUTION: A receiving device according to one embodiment includes a plurality of tuners, a control unit, and a recording processing unit, and the plurality of tuners receive program data, the control unit determines a stream area size which is the maximum recordable capacity in a storage unit for each of the program data, and the recording processing unit records the program data in the storage unit on the basis of the stream area size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
