Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery charging mechanism, a secondary battery charger and a secondary battery pack, capable of securely preventing battery capacity from being exhausted in the middle of operation, in a secondary battery used as the operation power of an electric apparatus in which continuous operation is required for a certain time.SOLUTION: The charging mechanism includes: a secondary battery 11 to be used as the operation power of an electric apparatus 30; a charging circuit unit 21 which charges the secondary battery; a deterioration index detector unit 12 which detects a deterioration index indicative of the degree of the reduction of a full charge capacity of the secondary battery; and a charge and discharge control unit 22 which controls the charge or discharge to/from the secondary battery. The charge and discharge control unit controls not to charge or discharge to/from the secondary battery if the deterioration index value is larger than a first threshold by which the secondary battery is determined to be incapable of operating the electric apparatus for a predetermined time or longer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
