PURPOSE: To provide a rechargeable dummy battery having enhanced safety and reliability by securely preventing an accident caused by repeated electric charge/discharge processes or the like.

CONSTITUTION: A rechargeable battery main body 1 is contained inside an outer package 2 provided with an outside polar terminal plate 3 for at least either one of an anode terminal plate and a cathode terminal plate both electrically connected to the rechargeable battery main body 1. A current controller for at least either one of a current cut-off mechanism and a current reducing mechanism is interposed between the rechargeable battery main body 1 and the polar terminal plate 3. Otherwise, the outside polar terminal plate 3 by itself has a current cut-off function.
