PURPOSE: To provide a reciprocating electric razor free from the unnecessary motion of the outer cutter body and rotor of a shaving head, unless subjected to an external force, and free from the improper transmission of a drive force and the improper motion of the rotor due to the ingress of a foreign material.

CONSTITUTION: A shaving head comprises an inner cutter body 30, a head frame 7 with a pair of end walls 12 on a skirt section 11 continuous to a body case, and a base section 18 built into the skirt section 11 for reciprocal motion. Furthermore, the shaving head comprises a driver 16 having an inner cutter body mounting axis 21 projected from the base section 18 and wound with a spring to support and press the inner cutter body to an outer cutter 34, and a rotating arm 27 pivotally fitted to the end walls 12 and connected to the driver 16. Also, there are provided a rotor 8 so supported as to be capable of free turn in the frame 7, an outer cutter holder 35 to retain the outer cutter 34, and an outer cutter case 36 to support the holder 35 with a freely deformable support arm 41. In this case, a freely detachable outer cutter body 10 is provided between the end walls 12 of the frame 7.
