Abstract:
To provide a reciprocating type refrigerant compressor, of which intake valve is largely deflected to enlarge an opening area thereof, and in which deformation and breakage of the intake valve is prevented.
A stopper recess 70 is formed at an opening end 6a of a cylinder bore of a cylinder block 1 so that the stopper recess supports a tip projection of the intake valve in an intake stroke. A bottom face 70a of the stopper recess 70 is inclined. Therefore, the intake valve is brought into face-contact with the stopper recess 70 in the intake stroke thereby to largely deflect the intake valve and disperse load acting on the projection of the intake valve.
