Abstract:
To shorten the overall length by employing three sliders and two springs.
In the inventive recoil and counterrecoil mechanism for a machine gun, a rod (6) secured to the gun carriage (5) is provided with three sliders (20, 21, 9) and first and second springs (13, 14) are provided between respective sliders (20, 21, 9). Rear seat energy is absorbed by means of the first and second sprigs (13, 14) and a counterrecoil braking action is obtained only by means of the second spring (14).
