Title:
RECOMBINED FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2953574
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DNA useful for producing a practical amount of the subject factor used for curing diseases having vascularization as a main disease condition and common to ophthalmology, dermatology and rheumatology and diseases on certain kinds of neoplasms including encephaloma high in a vas- forming ability.
SOLUTION: This recombined DNA encodes a human basic FGF(fibroblast growth factor) protein analogue, which has the activity of a FGF antagonist and which deletes the 1-33 residues of the amino acid residue in an arbitrary length. The recombined DNA is obtained by using a bacteriophage λ BB2 (ATCC No.40196) retaining the sequence of the human basic FGF as a DNA sequence source and modifying the sequence of the human basic FGF by a site-specific mutation method or the like.
