PURPOSE: To realize the total of records with high precision and simplicity in the case of an EKIDEN contest (long distance running race as if touching button at stations (EKI) in Japanese).

CONSTITUTION: A time at a start time point is sent to a record total processor, and by means of this record total processor, runner codes for every EKIDEN runner and team codes for every team are set and registered beforehand, and at the same time, codes for respective relay points are set and registered, and data transmitted from relay place point time sending devices discriminate if the runner codes, the team codes and the relay point codes previously set and registered coincide with one another or not. A time inputted at every runner card transmitted from each relay point and an elapsing time from the start time are calculated, and the elapsing time of a runner at every each section is converted into a runner code, a team code and a relay point code previously set and registered as above and a runner name, a team name and a section name, and measuring data totaled by means of the record total processor are printed and outputted.
