PURPOSE: To record the accurate results of inspection even under noisy environments by so arranging a voice recognizing device that it can recognize the results of inspections with simple alternative words.

CONSTITUTION: A controlling part 2 is provided in order to output inspection items including places of inspections, procedures of inspections, etc. in inspection stages for vehicles in accordance with prescribed programs. A voice synthesizing device 4 is provided in order to convert the contents of the inspection items to sound signals. A voice synthesizing device 6 takes the data of the inspection items successively therein at every item, synthesizes the voices of these data and outputs the same as sound signals. A microphone 14 as a voice inputting device and a voice recognizing device 16 are provided in order to recognize the results by the operators' inspection work. The operator inspects the vehicles in accordance with the contents of the inspection items and answers the results thereof in alternative words, for example, short words such as OK or NO.
