PURPOSE: To promote color mixing by performing the recording well even on a a low smoothness medium to be recorded by a method wherein a pressing means for pressing an intermediate member opposed to a pressure member onto the pressure member is provided, and a vibration means for finely vibrating the pressure member is established.
CONSTITUTION: An image is formed by applying selectively heat energy and specific wavelength optical energy to a transfer recording medium 1 with a recording part 3. The transfer recording medium 1 is overlapped on recording paper 8 being a medium to be recorded, and the image is transferred onto the recording paper 8 by applying heat and pressure thereto with a transfer part 4. Further, it is wound around a winding roll 6. Besides, pressure and shearing force are applied to the recording paper 8 by a pressure means 13 and a vibration means 14 vibrating its member to promote color mixing of a transferred image and fix it. The pressure means 13 is composed of a color mixing roller 13a and an intermediate roller 13b which come to be a pressure member, and a pressing roller 13c. The vibration unit 14 composed of voice coil 14a and a magnetic circuit 14b is attached to a bearing unit 13a in the color mixing roller 13a, and fine vibration of about 100Hz in frequency and about 0.3mm in amplitude is generated in an axial direction normal to a carrying direction of the recording paper 8.
