PURPOSE: To make a main body case flat and thin.

CONSTITUTION: A main body case 1 forms a form path arranging a recording part to a paper discharging part discharging a sheets of form opened to the front surface from a form feeding port on the surface. To the base of the main body case 1, a battery 60 is installed freely attachably and detachably, and a terminal 64 is connected to a terminal strip 55 of the main body case 1. A cover board 57 opening and closing an opening part 56 is installed on a terminal arrangement part 54 to the base of the main body case 1. On the outside of the cover board 57, a projecting part 59 in contact with the placing surface of the main body case is installed. Therefore, the battery is installed by opening the cover board 57 in the terminal arrangement part 54, and the terminal strip 55 of the main body case 1 is connected to the battery terminal. Even when the main body case is placed on the installation surface while opening the cover board 57, the terminal strip 55 is not brought into contact with the installation surface and not shunted.
