Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a stable cooling separation of an ink ribbon by controlling the driving timing of a peeling pinch roller driving means to be later than the driving initiation timing of a carriage driving means.
SOLUTION: The driving initiation of a winding motor for rotating a winding roller driving shaft is controlled to start after the lapse of a specified time from the driving initiation of a carriage driving motor. Thus, an ink ribbon 6 is not wound for the specified period of time and only feeding of the ink ribbon 6 is conducted through traveling of a carriage 7. As a result, the ink ribbon 6 sustains a formation of sagging between a portion recorded by a thermal head 14 and a pulling out pinch roller 4a. Control done in this manner causes separation between the recording paper and the ink ribbon 6 to be implemented in a condition where the ink ribbon 6 is cooled sufficiently. Therefore, changes in the rotation speed of a peeling pinch roller 4a or vibrations caused by expansion of the ink ribbon 6 exert no influence on the carriage 7.
