Abstract:
To provide a recording apparatus which can reduce the number of gears constituting a ribbon driving mechanism for winding an ink ribbon.
The recording apparatus which has a plurality of recording wires in a recording head 18 mounted on a carriage 19 driven reciprocatingly and records an image on a sheet through the ink ribbon by the protruding action of the recording wires is provided with a ribbon driving mechanism 51 for winding the ink ribbon only when the carriage 19 is moved in one direction.
