Abstract:
To suppress a decrease in straightness of a guide member caused by deformation of a chassis member.
A recording apparatus includes a carriage 2 on which a liquid discharge head for discharging a liquid can be loaded, a guide member 4 for guiding the carriage 2 to be reciprocally movable, a chassis member 7 for supporting the guide member 4 to be position-adjustable, and an auxiliary member 5 fastened to the guide member 4 with the chassis member 7 sandwiched therebetween. The auxiliary member 5 is configured so that its position relative to the chassis member 7 is changeable in an opposite direction to a movement direction of the guide member 4 with respect to the chassis member 7 when a position of the guide member 4 is adjusted.
