To save the consumption of a power and ink and the time required for an initialization movement owing to the reason that the execution of a useless initialization of a recording part becomes unnecessary by promptly using a reading and writing part from a host device without switching on the power supply of the whole recording device.
An inkjet recording device 100 is equipped with a reading and writing part 310 which has a card slot 160 for connecting a memory card electrically and a drive circuit 312 for controlling the reading and writing of the information to the memory card and performs the reading and writing of the information to the memory card, a recording part which has a recording head for discharging an ink to a recording paper and records an image based on the information acquired from at least either one of the reading/writing part and an information processor 302 connected to the exterior and a power supply part 330 for feeding a power to the reading/writing part and the recording part. Even in the state that the recording part is intercepted from the power supply part, the reading/writing part operates based on the instruction from the information processor.
