To avoid an increase in a current consumption value when load on a motor of a recording device is largely fluctuated.
An inkjet printer 11 includes: a printing drive instruction part 92 which instructs a CR motor drive part 94 and a PF motor drive part 96 to drive to record information on first paper 19; a load fluctuation acquisition part 80 which obtains load fluctuation relative to at least one drive part; a characteristic data storage part 82 in which rotational speed in accordance with load fluctuation is stored; and a PF motor speed determination part 88 and a CR motor speed determination part 90 which refer to the characteristic data storage part 82, and determine the rotational speed in accordance with the load fluctuation, respectively. When recording the information on the following paper 19, the printing drive instruction part 92 instructs the CR motor drive part 94 and the PF motor drive part 96 to drive at the determined rotational speed.
