Abstract:
To provide a recording device, a writing device, a reading device, and a control method for a recording device which allow suppression of an unauthorized use of content data.
A recording device 1 includes: memory 11 allowing recording of data; a controller 10 which divides the memory 11 into a first area 30 and a second area 31, and controls recording of the data. The controller 10 writes the data to the first area 30 without an error code correction or an address conversion from a logical address to a physical address for externally given data, and writes the data to the second area 31 after the error code correction and the address conversion for the externally given data.
