To more easily carry out paper removing work at paper jamming in a recording device which adopts such a constitution that a bending inverting route for bending and inverting recording paper having been delivered from a paper cassette also serves as a bending and inverting route for inverting the recording paper on which recording has been applied.
A bending and inverting unit includes an inverting roller 22 which is a member of the bending and inverting route 21, a retard roller 23, an intermediate roller 24, and guide members 25, 26. Since the bending and inverting unit 3 is unitized with the members also including the peripheral members of the members and can be removed from a body of an inkjet printer, the paper blocked can be removed easily when the paper jamming occurs. Since a paper conveying route connected to the bending and inverting route 21 is exposed to the inside of an opening 1b, the blocked paper can be easily removed even if the paper jamming occurs in the deep position of an apparatus.
