Abstract:
To provide means which can inhibit transmission of energy radiated from a radiation part to a recorded medium.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: a first transport roller pair 54 and a second transport roller pair 55 which transport a sheet in a transport direction; a print head 24 which causes an ink to adhere to the sheet; a heater 26 which is located at the downstream of the print head 24 in the transport direction and radiates infrared light to the sheet to which the ink is adhered; and a shutter mechanism 43 located between the heater 26 and the sheet. The shutter mechanism 43 changes its state between an opening state in which elongated holes 49, 50, arranged along a vertical direction 7, communicate with each other and a closed state in which the elongated holes 49, 50 are closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
