Abstract:
To provide a recording device that can properly control a carriage even if an encoder deteriorates.SOLUTION: A recording device according to the present invention comprises: a carriage that reciprocates in a width direction of a sheet while being mounted with a recording head; an encoder that detects the position of the carriage using a pulse signal; an acceleration sensor which is mounted on the carriage and detects acceleration of the carriage; and a control unit that controls movements of the carriage. The control unit changes processing on the basis of first information concerning a pulse width of the pulse signal detected by the encoder and second information concerning the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor, when performing control of the movements of the carriage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
