Abstract:
To provide a recording device that calculates a sheet residual amount according to each paper tube diameter in the recording device that can install roll paper of different paper tube diameters by attaching an adapter to a flange.SOLUTION: The recording device includes: a flange that is internally contacted with a roll on which a sheet is wound and supports an end portion of the roll in a longitudinal direction; and a residual amount acquisition unit that acquires a sheet residual amount of the roll supported by the flange. The flange further has an adapter engaging unit that is internally contacted with the roll and can engage with an adapter for supporting the roll. The recording device further includes an adapter detecting unit that detects the adapter being attached to the flange. The residual amount acquisition unit acquires the sheet residual amount based on detection information detected by the adapter detecting unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
