PURPOSE: To compute all the temperature changes of a recording head even in an inexpensive device and stabilize the jetting by using a modeling means of recording heads, a computation algorithm means for computing the computing interval and the data retaining time for every model unit and a plural heat source computation algorithm means for computing the temperature rise range and adding the same later on.
CONSTITUTION: In the case a head 5012 is controlled by the divided pulse width modulation drive method (PWM drive method) for a subheater and a jet heater for raising the temperature of the head 5012 based on the head temperature computed by a temperature computation algorithm, the temperature is raised up to the vicinity of the target by using the subheater in the event of large deviation from the temperature control target value, and the jet amount is controlled constantly by the PWM jet amount control for the balance deviation. Therefore, when the PWM is used for a jet amount control means of the head 5012 of high response properties, a delayed response for sensing the temperature sensing error and the like generated by the location of a temperature sensor 5024 of the head 5012 are not generated, and the control utilizing the merit can be carried out to eliminate the uneven density without using the sensor 5024.
