PURPOSE: To provide a recording device doing no damage to an actuator in a unit condition during physical distribution or service work.
CONSTITUTION: In a recording device provided with a recording means performing recording, a conveying means conveying a recording medium, a recording medium detecting means 12, and an actuator 121 transmitting an action of the recording medium, the actuator 121 is provided with the first rotation angle area, in which detection of the recording medium is carried out, and the second rotation angle area, in which an action of the actuator 121 is restricted. A recording medium detecting means mounting plate 23 serving as an electric board may be provided. The terminal end part of the second rotation angle area may be set parallelly to the recording medium detecting means mounting plate 23. In addition, the recording medium detecting means 12 may be provided with a photo-interrupter.
