Title:
RECORDING ELEMENT INCLUDING ONCE-WRITING AMORPHOUS THIN-FILM OPTICAL RECORDING LAYER AND RECORDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6460832
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion and to enable high-density recording at a high speed by specifying a compsn., the vertex of the polygonal shape of its compsn. diagram and the corresponding atomic per cent coordinates.

CONSTITUTION: The recording element including a once-writing-amorphous thin-film optical recording layer made of an alloy having the compsn. within the polygonal shape in the ternary compsn. diagram which is composed of antimony, zinc and tin and is expressed by formula I is formed. The vertex of the polygonal shape and the corresponding atom per cent coordinate are so specified as to be expressed by formula II. Then, the crystallization rate of the optical recording layer at the time of using practicable laser electric power without receiving the environment corrosion observed in the thin film having much chalcogen attains <1 microsecond and the amorphous state is extremely stable. As a result, the execution of the high-density recording at a high speed is made possible.
