Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress the level of a cross modulating component by executing amplification so that a gain for a signal can be lowered, the frequency of the signal is the same as that of a frequency component to exist in the frequency band of an FM signal out of the cross modulating component composed of the FM signal and a prescribed signal, and limiting amplitude. CONSTITUTION:An RF signal obtained from a disk 1 by a pickup 2 is supplied to a cross modulating control circuit 4 and one input terminal of a changeover switch 5 through an RF amplifier 3. The circuit 4 is, for example, composed of an amplifier having frequency characteristics to lower the gain as the frequency of an input signal becomes higher, and the output of the circuit 4 is supplied to the other input terminal of the switch 5. The switch 5 selectively outputs the output of the circuit 4 when a switching command from a switching command generating circuit 6 does not exist, and the switch 5 selectively outputs the output of the amplifier 3 when the switching command signal exists. The output of the switch 5 is given to a demodulating circuit 8 through a limiter 7. Thus, the level of the cross modulating component can be suppressed, and recording information with good picture quality can be reproduced.
