Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material binding device in which two geared dies clamp and deform recording material to bind the same and which is configured to suppress the one-side contact due to a tooth alignment directional shift in engagement between the geared dies.SOLUTION: An upper geared die 22 and a lower geared die 24 clamp a recording material bundle to bind recording material therewith. The upper geared die 22 and the lower geared die 24 are inclined to each other from the beginning of the clamp to the end thereof. The clamp begins from one end in the tooth width direction with a shift eliminated and this shift elimination continues further between later engagement portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19
