Abstract:
To prevent a recording material from bending when manual stapling processing is performed in a state where a user holds the recording material in its hand.SOLUTION: A recording material processing device comprises: a processing tray for placing a recording material; a staple unit for performing stapling processing with respect to the recording material inserted from the outside of a device body into the processing tray; discharge means capable of discharging the recording material, on which the stapling processing is performed by the staple unit, from the processing tray; a discharge tray for placing the recording material discharged by the discharge means; and control means capable of switching between a first mode where the recording material on which the stapling processing is performed is discharged by the discharge means from the processing tray to the discharge tray and a second mode where the recording material on which the stapling processing is performed is not discharged by the discharge means from the processing tray to the discharge tray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
