Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a recording material having no possibility that a substrate may form a color, forming a sharp color image, and having a superior stability to light or heat and a superior resistance to plasticizer by a method wherein the recording material contains a ligand compound and a phosphate compound of iron or silver shown by a specific formula.
CONSTITUTION: A recording material is so composed as to contain a ligand compound and a phosphate compound of iron or silver shown by a formula. In the formula, R1 is hydrogen atom or 1-4C alkyl; R2 and R3 are hydrogen atom or 1-9C alkyl; M is iron or silver; (m) is 0 or 1; and (n) is 3 when M is iron, or 2 when M is silver. This recording material is produced by providing a color forming layer on the surface of a substrate, such as paper, synthetic paper, or a plastic film or sheet, by the application of a coating liquid containing a ligand compound and the aforesaid specific phosphate compound and is avaliable for thermal recording paper, pressure-sensitive recording paper, electrorecording paper, and the like.
