Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily and yet quickly recognize what music is recorded on a recording medium in a magazine by displaying a number for specifying a recording medium corresponding to an audio data under reproducing at a display part. CONSTITUTION:When the magazine 11 is loaded into a main body of the subject device, recording media are taken out in turn from the magazine 11, and an audio data is read out from a prescribed position of each recording medium for a prescribed time and stored in a memory 17. Afterward, upon a request by a key operation, the audio data is read out of the memory 17 in turn, and is reproduced and outputted, while a number for specifying a recording medium corresponding to an audio data under reproducing is displayed at the display part 21, and this number is inputted to specify this recording medium to reproduce the music concerned. By this method, without setting recording media one by one on the player to reproduce, what music is recorded on which recording medium in the magazine 11 can easily and yet quickly be recognized and displayed.
